ENABLING FIELD SECURITY FOR A FIELD ON AN ENTITY FORM IN MS DYNAMICS CRM

We can restrict access to individual form fields by enabling the field security which in return includes the following steps:
1. Setting the field as a secure field or simply we can say enable it to be secure
2. Then configuring the security profiles
 
1. Lets see how to set the field as a secure field :
We can do it by selecting ‘Enabled’ option on form definition window.
Navigation :
Settings-> Customizations -> Customize the system 
-> Entities -> Entity Name -> Field Name.
 
 
2. Configuring the security profiles :
 
After the field(s) is enabled for field security, then we can actually create a new one or use existing field security profiles to configure security to users belongs to that profiles. Security profiles are almost similar to that of security roles in MS DYNAMICS CRM.Security profiles are means by which we can configure field security to users by adding them to these profiles.Navigation for creating Field level security profiles :
 
Settings -> Administration -> Fiel Level Security Profiles.
